Physical Education
The Hughes Physical Education program focuses on promoting a healthy lifestyle through physical activity. We strive to provide students with the tools to live longer, healthier lives. Researchers have recently linked exercise to increased brain activity and function. Therefore, students who participate in physical education classes also perform better in the classroom.
Grades K, 1, 2 - Will focus on fitness, locomotor skills, and the rules of fair play.
Grades 3, 4, 5 - Will learn about their muscles, flexibility, endurance, body composition, aerobic capacity, and the importance of teamwork.
On your child's designated PE day, please make sure they come wearing tennis shoes and clothing that they can easily move around in.
